While some of these maps may be referred to as Tourist Maps, don't let the word "Tourist" fool you. These are the maps that we living in Lithuania use day in and day out. Personally I find them invaluable for finding the small villages, an interesting place to go for a Sunday drive or a nice area to spend a weekend. For navigating in and around the cities the City Maps are a must. Even if you are not planning a trip to Lithuania or the Baltics these Maps make great reference sources to find places people talk about or maybe even where your family is from or living now.

Now we would like to tell you a little something about the people who make these Maps. There are a number of companies producing maps of Lithuania. All are very good. Our decision to only offer maps made by the Briedis Map Company of Vilnius, Lithuania was a very easy decision to make.

It is critical that a map offers as much information as possible and at the same time be easy to read and understand. When you hold a Briedis Map next to another's the difference is very clear. Not only do the Briedis Maps contain a wealth of information but how the information is presented and the color shading used makes them very easy to read and understand.

It is not only we at Baltic Value that decided to go omly with Briedis. The Village Tourism Association of Lithuania www.atostogoskaime.lt www.countryside.lt www.lithuaniancountryside.com uses Briedis maps in their "Countryside Vacation Guide in Lithuania" Books. Briedis is also the largest publisher of Geography books for schools in Lithuania.

Another factor is that the Briedis Company is a good neighbor in the community. In their Education Centers, school children are invited to come and learn about Geography and History in a fun and entertaining environment.
