According to our research THIS IS THE ONLY ELECTRIC POTATO GRATER MACHINE of this type in the WORLD. There are other machines and devices out there. Some are electric. Some are manually powered. While some of these machines are of good quality and work very well none of them produce a grated potato with the correct consistency required for these traditional recipes because they were not specifically designed to grate potatoes for these recipes. What some produce is thin, narrow shavings.

Good Question! The good ole traditional hand grater is a great kitchen tool and will grate potatoes to the right consistency. It is perfect for grating potatoes for a batch of potato pancakes for a couple of people. The reason many people get our machine though is because many of these recipes require A LOT of grated potatoes. The time and work involved grating by hand 5 - 8 pounds of potatoes becomes a factor. Many people love these traditional foods but they say it is so much work to grate by hand all the potatoes that this is the reason they very seldom cook these dishes.

The machine is capable of grating up to 80 kg. / 175 lbs. of potatoes an hour for the 220 volt model
and 90 kg. / 198 lbs. an hour for the 110 volt model.

I love the potato grater. Kugelis are wonderful and light and no cut fingers. Potato pancakes and potato dumplings are so easy to make too.

As the typical Lithuanian child, I, along with my siblings, were given the task of preparing the potatoes for kugelis. Dad always said that bloody knuckles was part of the recipe. Of course through the years, someone would try a food processor, but the texture was never quite right. When I got my Kuglinator I was skeptical. At first I tried it with half hand grated and half kuglinated potatoes. I am so happy with the texture produced by this machine that I dropped hand grating any potatoes! This is one happy camper!

After reading Facebook Lithuanian recipe sites, I finally ordered a potato grater. I'm so happy I did as it grates in no time at all. Happy with the grater but my recipes need some work. There was a short delay due to COVID but they kept me up to date via emails.

Works well and fast but very loud. One gets used to the loudness. Greater quality is excellent; however, instructions are literal translation from Lithuanian and not good. Had to read Lithuanian recipe to understand. Best to rewrite recipes correctly in English..

After a visit to Lithuania to see relatives, I have always wanted a grater like this. Finally I ordered it, it came so quickly and we had a potato pancake feast. These were the best pancakes I have ever made. It was so easy to clean and set up.

My wife's German / Polish grandmother taught her and her sisters how to make what we call potato dumplings. They are made form a mixture of finely grated potatoes, flour, eggs and salt. The potatoes must be grated to the consistency of applesauce for best results. We have searched for years to try to find a machine to automate the grating process. We tried blenders, food processors, cheese graters only to revert back to the old fashioned "Knuckle grater" which although slow, tiring and sometimes painful produced the best results. I came upon this product on Baltic Value, watched the you tube video and purchased one based on what I saw. I must admit it is Amazing! The metal blades have the correct grating surface to produce perfectly grated potatoes - and the speed it does it at is incredible! The design is easy to use and very safe. The clean up is very quick and easy too. I have already ordered spare blades as I intend to use this machine for many years to come.
